A NEW BOOK BY ANNE WADE
StoryShift
Reshaping the Stories
That Shape Our Lives
If you’ve tried to change your thoughts or “let it go,” only to find familiar reactions, relationship struggles, and frustrations returning in annoyingly predictable ways, the problem isn’t you.
About the book
A Compassionate Guide to Understanding
What’s Beneath the Patterns
The problem isn’t you. The problem is the stories you’ve told yourself about what your experiences mean and what they say about you.
But where do those stories come from — and why do they carry such influence?
Contrary to popular belief, your stories do not start with your thoughts. And you cannot simply “let it go” without metabolizing what your feelings have been trying to communicate.
Anne Wade presents a simple, compassionate, and psychologically informed approach grounded in research on emotional processing and the formation of internal narratives.
StoryShift focuses on addressing your emotional residue — the underlying and often unseen feelings that shape expectations, influence automatic responses, and sustain repetitive patterns in everyday life.
What You’ll Learn
IN THIS BOOK, YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO:
- Stop wasting time trying to control your thoughts
- Put your triggers to work FOR you
- Recognize why knowledge alone rarely creates lasting change
- Break free from underlying feelings that have been invisible drivers
- Build greater resilience and steadiness for everyday life and its pressures
- Define your own self-healing with less strain and more authority, joy, and fulfillment
A Different Way Forward
You Don’t Have to Fight
Your Thoughts to Create Change
Rather than urging you to deny your past, override your reactions, or rely on positive thinking, StoryShift guides you in addressing unrecognized emotions that have remained unresolved.
As these emotions are acknowledged and processed, their grip begins to loosen naturally, making different choices and outcomes possible without force or self-pressure.
About the Author
Anne Wade
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in training, organizational development, teaching, and coaching. What connects all of that work is my belief that growth, development, and healing begin with the individual — and that our personal work has a powerful ripple effect on our relationships, careers, circumstances, and the world around us.
My approach draws on extensive training and certifications in learning, teaching, and healing modalities including EFT, NLP, and Reiki, along with my own lived experience.
Today, I bring all of these perspectives together to help people understand their stories, work with what lies beneath their patterns, and create meaningful change with greater awareness and self-trust.
I’m also a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, writer, teacher, and lifelong explorer. Outside of my work, I’m an avid reader who loves cooking, painting, walking, hiking, music, theater, and, of course, musical theater.
